Advise for making "Cinematic Pop"?

Hi there!
I've been interested in creating cinematic music like 2wei or Tommee Proffit for a while now. I have some background in cinematic music production, but without vocals, and this "cinematic pop" style (the closest I can come to describing it) certainly has distinct differences that I'm finding a bit difficult to understand or implement in my own productions. Any advice?
