Should I bother trying to print proxies with my printer or get a new one?
Don't exactly make a lot of money so trying to figure out if I should bother printing on the current printer I have or buy a brother printer which are currently on sell on amazon. Im poor essentially and trying to save money lol.
Current printer: Pixma MP500
It uses a pigment based black ink with four dye-based inks. The only experience I have printing on it is for color dnd paper minis which turned out great.
From what i've learned here, people mainly want you to use dye-based ink but i've as well seen others print okay with pigment on cardstock or matte photopaper.
However, most of the tutorials i've seen use 37lb double glossy photo paper which is what I have from printing the dnd miniatures luckily.
Already bought a laminator and 3mil sheets as well.
Bit indecisive on what to do, looking for any advice :) Thanks!
