Do I need a Lawyer?

Hey guys just some brief context.

I sold a motorcycle to a one of my wife’s friends. He was making payments and he stopped paying me halfway through. We made a written contract he signed, I still have the title and the bill of sale.

I’m kinda of confused with filing the paperwork, I know I have to take him to civil court (I think). I live in Texas.

Any advice on what to do would be great.
