I'm pretty new to working on my car, but I've replaced my driver's side door handle and lock, the alternator, a belt, and have replaced the battery several times. So my experience is limited. To provide further context to my title, I recently removed my starter, air box, and battery in order to have the battery and starter tested as my car wouldn't start. The starter passed the bench test and the battery failed it's test. After reinstalling the starter and airbox along with a new battery my car will start but dies when I accelerate. It doesn't always die immediately, sometimes I can put my foot on the pedal and it'll rev up just fine. But eventually when I go to shift into drive and give it gas, that's when it dies. There's been a few occasions where I tested it and I was able to give it gas (while in park) and it was fine but then would die shortly afterwards while idling. When I reinstalled the airbox I managed to find one of the small hoses that had been missing for many years and plug it back on the front of the airbox. Following that hose however I found that there were some hoses that appeared to be dangling down in the cavity of the vehicle and weren't attached to anything. I've attached some pictures with the hoses in question circled (with the arrow indicating the cavity of the vehicle where these hoses appeared to be loose and dangling) and I was hoping if someone could help me out here. I'll have to take the battery out to verify what I saw, when I can make the time. My concern is that perhaps these hoses, if they are dangling freely, are the cause of my problems. I've looked up the P2196 code and it indicates that it is an O2 sensor problem and I suspect these hoses may be the cause of my air/fuel mixture that's setting off the O2 sensor.

2003 Lexus ES300 dies when accelerating. Code reader gives P2196. Recently reinstalled the starter, airbox, and battery.
