I love my friend but I’m lost

I’m close with a person and we have known each other for ten years and they are a very lovely person. Although there has been something strange I’ve been noticing and I just need to get it off my chest. My friend has been consistently claiming that they are physically disabled, I am too and I’m always open to helping someone out on if they suspect they might be. I love seeing people advocate for themselves, I went onto another subreddit and gotten eaten up for seeming judgy of people who suspect they have a disability, and I did NOT mean to make my paragraph sound that way so I do want to clarify that. I know everything about my friend’s situation and everything they have been through and we tell each other almost everything. This is an important note. So my friend had some short term health issues and made it out of them and has hormonal issues as well and thats the only things they’ve had wrong with them. But they claim they are disabled from that short term health issue they don’t struggle with anymore unless they take things they shouldn’t. They say they can’t do house chores because of the physical disability they are claiming, and what they were diagnosed with then isn’t considered as a disability medically, nor does it happen anymore for it to even be potentially disabling. This is the same person who can work full time, go to very crowded concerts with mosh pits, is able to have a social life, never needed accommodations and doesn’t have nor needs any for college, they haven’t even asked a doctor about disability once nor has any sensory disabilities or uses mobility aids. So I’m very lost on what’s happening and has me mentally concerned for them. They’ve even said they thought about taking the substance that would get them sick again and stated that before knowing it would get them sick the same way it did then. I was flabbergasted, they knew that they’ve would’ve gotten themselves sick again if they did that when they were perfectly healthy. They’ve also stated that they almost died four times from the short term condition, this condition is also rarely fatal and every time they’ve went up to doctors they were never in critical condition, it certainly wasn’t fun for them and I feel horrible that they went through that but they were never actively dying so I don’t even know why they say that either. So now they often talk about physical disability but they never really mention struggling with anything and it just kind of upsets me. I feel they’re limiting themselves when they’re perfectly capable and that’s not a very healthy thing to do. I would give anything to be normal again and it feels like my friend is going to flush their life down the drain for something they don’t really struggle with physically. I will say this friend does tend to fixate on a lot of medical things naturally, and they do have OCD. This makes me wonder if they are struggling with something right now. I’m little exasperated and irritated but concerned is what I feel the most. I just want to help this person. This a full run down there’s a few more things I could add but this paints the whole picture.
