11 month old - 5 hr wake window
TLDR - if my 11 MO needs a full 5 hours between nap and bed, do I push for one nap a day, keep bedtime late, or force him to wake up at 6am?
I’ve been doing kind of a gentle sleep training with my 11 month old (I guess most like the chair method), and he’s been doing much better putting himself to sleep in the crib and not falling asleep to a bottle (and last night he slept through the night!). For naps he sometimes still falls asleep with the bottle.
He usually wakes up between 7-7:30am, and most days he takes two naps, although occasionally he’ll refuse his morning nap. If he does take two naps, WWs are about 3/3/5. He’s been doing the 5 before bed for about a month, and it’s throwing me off. We usually have about an hour of wind down/bedtime routine, but if I try to put him down even at 4.5hrs he’s wide awake.
He’s consistently falling asleep around 9pm to fit in both naps. Does it sound like I should push him towards one nap a day?
