AITA for reporting a reckless driver to the police?

I was driving home when a car behind me started tailgating, then passed me on a double yellow through a school zone.

They ran a red light, almost T-boned a minivan with a "Baby on Board" sticker, and sped off doing 80 in a 45.

I memorized the plate and called the non-emergency line.

My husband says I overreacted and "snitched" over "just bad driving."

I lost a family member to a car accident, so I take this very seriously, but my husband is making me feel bad about reporting him. I don't want them to get in trouble, just want them to understand the risk they're putting others in and the consequences that follow.
