Is there a way to get rid of neutralizing mints?

Hey all. So in the event, the game is trying to give me a third neutralizing mint, but it’s stuck in my inbox since I already have 2 (the maximum you can hold). I do not care AT ALL about “getting the right natures” or anything like that (caring that much about stats takes the fun out of Pokemon for me). But for some reason, the game won’t let me discard the item? It says “You cannot discard this item”, and of course I can’t just use it on a Pokemon with an already neutral nature… Is there a way I could just get rid of it so I don’t have to see the notification that there’s something in my inbox? I really don’t want to use it because I don’t care about my Pokemon’s natures, I do not want to change them and get rid of their buffs/debuffs

(if only I could just give it away lol… or to be honest, I really dom’t get why they wouldn’t just let you discard it, even if it is a rare item :/ )
