I built SolidState β an open-source runtime for controllable AI agents
Hi everyone,
We recently released the alpha version of SolidState, and it is now live on Product Hunt.
SolidState is an open-source Python framework for building AI agents with predictable, observable, and controllable execution.
Many agent frameworks make it easy to build prototypes, but their abstractions can make it difficult to understand and control what happens inside the execution loop. SolidState follows a more explicit principle:
The model reasons. The runtime controls execution.
SolidState currently supports:
- State-machine-based agent execution
- Multi-agent graphs and conditional routing
- Human-in-the-loop approval and resume
- Tool policies and deterministic guardrails
- Checkpoint persistence
- Parallel and asynchronous tool execution
- Context-window management and response caching
- OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic through Bedrock, and local Ollama models
- Redis, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch integrations
The project is still in alpha, and I would genuinely appreciate feedback from people building agentic systems.
We have also launched SolidState on Product Hunt. Your feedback and support there would mean a lot.
