Got curious what my collection actually looks like in aggregate rather than as a scattered pile of individual coins, so I pulled up Numisma's portfolio stats view. Current totals: $536 estimated portfolio value, 17 coins, 14 countries represented (more than the 12 shown on the home map, since a couple only got added to the 'graded' count), and a metal composition breakdown that's almost evenly split across bronze, copper, silver, copper-nickel, nickel, and aluminum-bronze — no single metal dominates, which wasn't something I'd have guessed just by eyeballing the tray.

It also auto-ranks your top 5 most valuable coins, which is a nice sanity check on where the actual value concentration is: mine's topped by the British Farthing at $150, followed by a few $35-45 pieces from the French Third Republic, German Empire, and Luxembourg. That's a useful thing to know if you're ever deciding what to insure separately or which pieces to actually protect in a proper holder versus a coin jar.

If you're a numismatics nerd like me, having an actual analytics dashboard for a coin collection — instead of a spreadsheet you promise yourself you'll update and then don't touch for eight months — makes it a lot easier to actually understand what you own, what it's worth in aggregate, and where the gaps are (mine is clearly light on Asian and South American coins, looking at the country breakdown).
