Am I crazy or are the tarot cards now broken?

Quickly playing through the new update, and decided to muck around with the tarot cards....nothing. It reduced my sanity to zero, and I was casually pulling the cards and not a single one did anything, even though I got both Hanged Man (no fool) and Death. Nothing. Is this a new update glitch?? It was a Moroi, if anyone was curious. I was just walking around with zero sanity for ages.
