Kinda regret getting an Owndays specs

Rant: Nabudol ako sa hype about Owndays dito sa Reddit community.

Don’t get me wrong, the service is impeccable and the after sales is outstanding. The frame also fits me well. However, the quality of the lens is questionable. I already got it scratched two days after owning it and I’m pretty careful on how I clean it (running water then wipe with microfiber cloth). I also had my frame replaced twice due to a manufacturing issue with the temples. I would’ve ignored all of these if it’s a < 2k worth of glasses.

What shocked me is that by adding a little more (2-3k), I could’ve gotten a proper frame from Luxxotica (known maker of designer frames) w/ prescription lenses. While Luxxotica also has its own flaws, I’d say they’re a step above with Owndays and the only thing that Owndays really offer is the ultra-thin lenses regardless of the lenses grade. Hays
