As the title states, I’m looking for a slouchy purse, but since I’m a first-time shopper of purses, I’m not entirely sure what would match what I’m looking for. The Free People Emerson/Baby Emerson Tote have both been flooding my FYP, as I’m sure everyone else has experienced, and I really like the design of that as well as the Asher Tote from FP. The only thing that’s making me super hesitant about it is that I’ve heard that the dye of the leather transfers a lot and I’m someone who would want to decorate my purses and I don’t want my skin/clothes to have dye on them.

If anyone has any other recommendations or if anyone can vouch for the purses, then please let me know!! I’m a college student so I do have a bit of a budget, I was hoping for something at or under $350, but if I’m being delusional then please let me know lol

Some more info if it’s needed: the purse wouldn’t be used for school, it would just be used for going out, so I’d prefer something on the medium side instead of something too big. I do overpack everything so I’m hoping for it to be able to handle carrying a lot of things while still maintaining a slouchy shape and not being too big. I’d likely also bring it in for work (I work in retail, so it’s not like I need much, just sometimes will bring in lunch and makeup and stuff so it would be preferable for it to fit all that). I was also eyeing the Baby Emerson Tote in the Red Rock color, I feel like it would match my style best and go with basically anything, so if the purse recommendations would also be in that deep red shade, that would be great! Totally understandable if that's not possible though, I also like a good deeper brown shade!! I added a little screenshot of my Pinterest board that encapsulates the style/vibe I’m going for with this purse as well!

Thank you to anyone who’s willing to help me out!!

Looking for a small-medium sized slouchy leather purse (~$350 or under [preferably under as a college student])!
