[2689] The Bargain

Hello all! I have started to dip my toes in fiction writing and I want to get my reps in before utilzing my own setting. So this short story is based in the Warhammer Fantasy world, just a vignette to start fleshing out my voice and style of writing. I would love to get some critiques on the piece and potentially share more of my writing if people are interested enough to give me a chance. I just used the setting since the themes I wanted to evoke fall in line with the setting. I'm not sure if this is dark fantasy or grim dark, so I apologize if I mislabeled my story.

I have been told that I tend to over write and lose readers with my writing. I wanted to see if that is the case or the people that I shared it to were not vibing with my style/content. Any feedback is appericated, most of my experience in writing is academic writing and writing ficition is more of a hobby that I would like to explore.
