Natsu, Mori, and Nico are at the mall right now, and some part of Mei wants to join them. Another part of her wants to be searching everywhere for Hisako. She just died, according to everyone else, earlier this month. But Mei knows that's not true. It can't be. She can't have just died like that...

The other Secret Society of X-Men are with Mei, feared and hated as always. It never does get better for them. They're looking to Mei for guidance, some sort of path forward, but even as she tell them we'll keeping doing what we always do the words feel hollow. I really just don-

"Oh, you can't be serious, role-player. I've read this story before on r/Marvel_RivalsRP_again , though the details are a bit different. I can understand doing something like this for my idiot brother, of course, but for me?"

A weirdo who wasn't wearing any shoes with a raggedy cape and a vaguely goblinoid face stood behind Mei.

"Point taken, do not insult the roleplayer. Anyways, child, I've come because your glorious purpose is to help me save the world, and that means you're coming with me. Understood?"

Mei was completely uninterested in doing so. With so many under her protection, she didn't have the time to help this man, glorious purpose or no.

"Fine. I guess I'll just have to take you there myself."

Loki snapped his fingers, and Mei disappeared from Japan to Nero and V's location, with Loki quickly following behind.

"So, I take it you two need help with defeating Dr. Doom?"

"How the f\*ck do you know that?"

Clearly, Nero was unaware that Loki had previously asked for a copy of the notes for the Dr. Doom stuff before his introduction.

"I have my ways, quarter demon."

"Okay. Well, I am looking to kick that bastard until he stops moving at least, and if you want to help, then I guess I'll take it."

"Magnificent. This is sure to be the start of a glorious partnership between us four, including the girl of course."

The girl was swearing at Loki in Japanese, having been teleported to far into the sky and having broken her foot on impact.

"...I have my doubts, but if nothing else you can buy me time when I'm fighting the Latverian."

"Oh, I can do so much more than that. Do you want to know more? More will be told."

"Nah, I'll believe that sh!t if I see it."
