Building a portfolio as a wedding florist: Advice Needed
This question is mostly geared towards business owners who focus on wedding floristry. How did you get your first 5-10 good jobs that helped you build a solid portfolio? And what is your best advice for advertising in this industry? Did you primarily utilize Google Ads, or did you land jobs through social media, or connections with wedding planners? If wedding planners, do you have any advice about forming relationships with planners?
Any advice helps! I've done a couple weddings, the couples found me through Google Ads. They were small, and only one of them has ended up being a real portfolio piece for me. I'm struggling because to book the larger clients because I don't have a portfolio that showcases that level of work. Do I wait for a lucky break? Or should I invest in booking a venue, and doing a styled shoot?
Thanks!!
