Applying To Top US Universities With Three A Levels
I already gave CIE A level maths, further maths, and physics and expect to get 3 A*'s in them. I want to apply to top US universities which give full financial aid and plan on majoring in electrical engineering. I have a US citizenship so applying to the US is a natural choice.
I have plans of teaching at my former school and creating a portfolio of data science projects as ECAs which I believe should be good enough to get into top universities like MIT. I also gave all my subjects composite in one year but I'm not sure if universities will care about that.
I was planning to give chemistry this October November but my family is having some financial issues. Is there a problem with just not giving chemistry? My subjects are pretty narrow but they are perfect for EE. However, you only choose your major in the second year of university in the US.
Should I give chemistry this October November? The results will be out after I apply so I won't be able to apply with them anyway. If I don't give chemistry, I'll have a lot more time for focusing on my ECAs and doing the SAT.
