Widescreen mod for DS on 3DS not working

Hi guys! I need some help because I am stuck with the widescreen mod for DS games on my 3DS.

Here is what I tried:

1. First, I made the patch file, renamed it, and moved it to the _nds/TWiLightMenu/TwlBg/ folder. I opened the game, but nothing happened.
2. Then, I tried another method I found in this sub. I moved the file back to luma/sysmodules with its original name and deleted the _nds/TWiLightMenu/TwlBg folder completely.

Sadly, nothing works. The console just ignores it. Does anyone know how to fix this?
