Why are Tier 2 NITs looked down upon?

Hi. Gave JEE this year. Joining a Tier 2 NIT CS related branch. I see a lot of negativity towards tier 2 NITs. Placements wise they are pretty good man, like 17-20 lpa avg. But still people say Tier 2 NITs are useless and nobody should join them. I don’t understand why? Like what’s the problem? Seeing so much negativity makes me kinda sad man. Maybe i should leave Reddit. Idk
