52 days since breakup ( he has avoidant attachment style)
So it has been 52 days since my breakup with my avoidant ex, and I initially thought that I could get him back, so the first few days I just tried to remind him what we actually had. That did not work and we decided to go no contact.
He requested nocontact, and let me be clear, I only did the no contact ( total digital blackout on meta as well as messaging apps ) because I thought that maybe after a while he would actually naturally realise what we had, maybe he will think about all the times he told me that I was different, all the times he told me that this is the most natural relationship he has been in, the way that I use to ease his Monday anxiety and how all his friends and family love and adore me.
We are on day 49 of total no contact, digital blockout. But yesterday was my 31st birthday, and I really had hoped that that would be the day that he would finally reach out. His mom sent me such a lovely message, telling me hoe much she loves me, and she also posted on my wall, but no message from him.
At this stage I just feel lost, and really negative, and the only person who can make me feel better, is the person who initiated the nocontact.
Why would someone who claimed that you are the best thing that has happened to them, and that this is the most natural a relationship has felt in his life, choose to stay away.
At this stage I would welcome any advice on the matter.
