Inheritance

My kids just inherited some cash from their grandmother that she'd been holding in a term deposit for them for the last 15 years. I am dying because the interest rate for the accounts? 0.86%... I just cannot believe the absolute waste of the compounding effects if it had even just been in a HISA! 😭

I'm trying to be philosophical about it because it was a lovely thing to do, but the loss of the potential tens of thousands extra they could've inherited if only she had known a little better is hard to swallow.
