Audition attire NZ/AUS

Anyone involved in community/regional theatre in NZ, or even AUS? I’m looking to audition for a show after being out of it for a longg time, probably since I was in my early teens and from memory I only ever wore dresses to auditions outside of school. I’m just not sure a dress feels appropriate anymore at this age and the role, as well as the fact we’re in the middle of winter.

What do you usually wear to singing auditions? Dance auditions are the following day so don’t necessarily have to be wearing dance wear. Very very minor part of the audition I know, but if I am confident in my appearance I feel like it can be a bit more confident about all the rest.

More context: I am in my 20s, going for a lead that is also quite dance heavy.
