Has anyone else tried Covau for solar and batteries?

Gday, Long time reader first time writer here.

I recently switched to Covau after spending a ridiculous amount of time comparing solar plans and so far I've been really impressed.

I built a spreadsheet comparing CovaU, GloBird and a few other retailers using my own usage and export data. For my setup, CovaU came out on top. But I cant understand why I cant find much feedback on them? People don't seem to be talking about them?

One thing I don't think gets talked about enough is the daily supply charge me in QLD its $1.52, This is the lowest I found for a plan with all day 5c feed in tariff then 15c between 6-9pm

The plan I'm on has:

Around $1.52/day supply charge.

5c/kWh feed in tariff during the day.

15c/kWh Feed in tariff from 6 pm to 9 pm, which is perfect if you have a battery.

The SolarMax plan also lets me top up my battery during the middle of the day on cloudy or rainy days, so I'm not relying solely on solar generation to get me through the night and I can use the AC, dishwasher all day and night long.

I've set my battery to export around 5 kW during the evening peak, which generally covers half of my daily supply charge, while my daytime solar covers the rest. So far my account has shown zero charges, although I haven't received my first bill yet but im definitely in credit.

Another thing I've been impressed with is their customer service. Every time I've called I've spoken to someone within a minute or so and the staff actually understood my questions and had the answers without reading from a script.

The only negative I'd mention so far is that their online portal isn't as polished as some of the larger retailers. I rang and asked about this and was told they're currently working on an upgraded version, so hopefully that improves soon, but aslong as i can see no charge im happy.

Overall they've struck me as a company that actually understands their product. Maybe im overwhelmed because people like Alinta who i recently dumped. They all seem to have the smoke and mirrors plans.

Anyway has anyone else been with Covau? I'd be interested to hear your good or bad experiences as I cant find much online???

Also I found it hard to find a covau referral code, if anyone decides to sign up after doing their own comparisons, I do have a referral code that gives both of us a $50 account credit.
