Me and my bf had a disagreement about cheating and what it can be

so I’m writing a book (not to promote it here its never being on the internet) and I was talking to my bf about it and for context I haven’t let him read it.

to kind of give you more insight into our relationship my bf is more of an insecure person when it comes to relationships than I am and celebrity crushes don’t bother me but he does get annoyed whenever I mention someone I find attractive. I literally send him edits of his celebrity crush because secretly I find her attractive too. (he knows I’m into women)

anyways so in my book the main character starts spending more time with an old friend while she’s married and has a kid and occasionally neglects her family for the friend but not to an extreme level and there’s nothing in the subtext to suggest that they have crossed any boundaries. The most I can say they’ve done is a slightly long hug. And in the last chapter I wrote the main character is in the hospital because her kid is sick and her husband is away on business and she relies on the friend for help and he steps in to help her. she relies on him emotionally and falls asleep on a couch in the hospital room on his chest and that’s the biggest boundary they’ve crossed.

My bf says that that’s cheating and that the main characters husband should leave her for that but I didn’t see that as cheating but also I’m not changing the plan for my book because of my bf. I need opinions on whether that would be cheating or not.
