Getting an Archmastery Jewel

I'm getting an Archmastery Jewel because I hear they are very good. I'm thinking about setting the pips to life school pips because I hear life is a good school for balance to dual school into.

Here's my problem/question:

Once I set the pips to "life", should I use some of my training points for training into the life school or should I wait for Spellweaving and weave into life and use all my training points then?

What do yall think? (Also is life a good choice for a balance wizard like I've heard?)
