Giveaways - Greedy People
Yesterday I held a giveaway on Extra BONUS Stickers I already had and wanted to "Gift them" to needy people so they can finish their set to get the BONUS Shield "Elbarto".
I set up rules like in any giveaway, So it will be a peaceful giveaway. I noticed a lot of scammers on here who would steal from other members, Delete their accounts to cover their tracks and start over and over again. So I made a few rules
* No Giveaways to players with Reddit Accounts Less than 6 Months old" Most scammers had accounts 1-2 months old. Some only less than 10 minutes old.
* No Giveaways to players who had less 200 Reddit Karma points. Most scammers can't get even 50 karma.
* No Giveaways to players that were blocked by: Monopoly GO!, Reddit, Myself for whatever reason. Most of the time I only block people from the group's scammer list which is way to many that Reddit only limits you to 25 blocks per 24 hours.
* Limit one Sticker per player
* Must include Player Code, Player IGN and List Set & Sticker name in request.
So I get this guy who pops up in the giveaway, Already breaking the rules asking for "2 Bonus Stickers". I felt suspicious about him, So I looked up his Reddit Profile and his past trades. It turns out the 2 Stickers he was asking me for, He already had them and not only that, HE HAD EXTRA STICKERS OF THE SAME STICKERS HE WAS ASKING ME FOR AND WAS ASKING FOR 9-STARS FROM OTHER PLAYERS. I told him what I saw and then blocked his account. But keep in mind when doing your giveaways, There are greedy people out there, Who will take advantage of your good deeds, Which is sad. As there are a lot of good, decent people out there and now we have to deal with these bozos.
Just a suggestion to look up their Monopoly GO Reddit Comments for any proof of Trading Stars, Low Karma, New Accounts and give only to the needy players out there!
