Marketing in Qatar

I'm curious about marketing salaries in Qatar and whether my situation is typical.

I'm currently working as a Marketing Manager earning QAR 5,000/month. The thing is, I'm the "entire marketing department" I handle social media, content creation, partnerships, influencer marketing, campaigns, branding, and other marketing tasks on my own.

Is it common for companies here to call one person a "marketing team" or "marketing department"?
A friend told me that marketing roles in Qatar can start around QAR 14k–18k, which surprised me. Is that realistic? If so, what level of experience or type of company usually pays that?

• What skills or experience helped you move into higher-paying roles?

• Are there companies in Qatar that value marketing enough to pay significantly more?

I'm trying to understand whether I'm being paid fairly and what opportunities I should be aiming for next.
