Hyderabadi style chicken dum Biryani

​I recently moved to Ajax from Montreal and I’m looking for solid biryani spot recommendations in Ajax or the broader Durham area.

​Back in Montreal, my go-to spot was Hyderabadi Adda. What made them great was their portion-to-price ratio: I used to get 1 Single + 1 Regular Chicken Dum Biryani for around $27 total after tax (direct pickup). Between those two containers, it would easily feed 3 adults, with enough left over to eat the next day. ​I’m looking for a place locally that gives that same kind of value—heavy containers, decent meat-to-rice ratio, and good authentic flavor (preferably Hyderabadi or heavy Pakistani-style Daigi) without hitting $35-$40+ for takeout. ​ ​Budget: $25 – $28 total after tax for enough food to feed 3 people. ​ ​I’ve heard of local spots like Biryani & Beyond, King’s Biryani, KarachiXpress, and Charminar, but I'd love to know which specific spot gives you the best bang for your buck on direct pickup orders.
