I finally unlocked the full planche after 4-5 months of planche training, and starting the sport in January of this year! It's been an really amazing year, and I've changed my training so many times throughout. Of course, I know it wasn't the cleanest of holds, nor was it the standard at least 3 seconds(or for some, 5 sec). But, I don't know, I just thought I should call it the day I unlocked the full planche, since I did hold the genuine full planche for at least a second.

Of course, it's hardly ending here, my current plan is to increase my planche (and front lever times) until they get to 10, and while I do that, I gradually incorporate planche press and planche pushup training into my workouts, which is great, since my bent arm days really need something more specific to fill things in.

Context: I'm 14 years old, 122 pounds, 5'6". My straddle flexibility isn't great to be honest, so the straddle planche really wasn't that much easier than the full. Before I began training the planche, I did the basics (lots of pullups especially, i love those) and unlocked the l-sit and muscleup. Before calisthenics, I had done (and still do) swimming for about 5 years, although not competitively (like never).

As for how I got the planche, I don't think I really did anything too special, I just followed the classic progressions (tuck to advanced tuck (which i got to 30 seconds before starting to learn straddle). The beginning of the transition from advanced tuck to straddle was definitely the hardest and most boring part. Though not everybody seems to use them, I found the one-leg variations of full/straddle planche really helpful, as well as halflay and such.

If anyone has any questions or tips, I'd be happy to hear them!
