Unpopular opinion, but I'd pick a 150cc+ scooter with 14" wheels over a bike for daily commuting any day.
Before anyone grabs their pitchforks π , hear me out.
I like bikes, but when it comes to riding to work every single day, scooters just make more sense to me.
No clutch, no gears. Just get on and go.
During the monsoon, I don't end up with muddy water all over my pants because of the body panels.
The under seat storage is something I use almost every day. Helmet, rain gear, charger, documents, laptop... everything goes in there without carrying a backpack. And it's waterproof.
No chain to clean or lube. Less maintenance overall.
Flat floorboard (if there is) is surprisingly useful when you need to carry bags or random stuff.
And with modern scooters having 14-inch wheels, stability is much better on highways. Also Lower center of gravity makes them feel less intimidating in city traffic.
For someone commuting 40β60 km every day, I honestly think a good 150c+ scooter or Even performance EV is the more practical and fun choice.
Anyone else feel the same, or am I in the minority here?
