stray cat in heat never returned

I live in very rural area with too many bushes and trees and apartment complexes. Very quiet neighbourhood. Now this stray that came to my house was seemingly in heat, but it;s been 1.5 month and she never returned.

What could be the reason, did she went far and forgot the way to her territory. Has anyone found the strays after they went into heat???
