n00b question, Lightroom seems to be changing my DNG contrast on import?

Hi everyone, please bear with me as I’m new new to using Lightroom.

I just dragged a DNG to remove something in the background of a photo, but immediately noticed the contrast changed noticeably upon import without me touching or doing anything.

I asked chat first, checked “auto” and all settings seem to be normal expect my white balance which I set in my camera.

Am I missing something? Is there some profile or setting being automatically applied that I’m unaware of? I feel like something is clearly wrong here but can’t figure out how to undo it. I’m using Lightroom cloud version 9.4.1 with a MacBook Pro M2.
