Driveway de-weeding
First time clearing my driveway of weeds project coming up for the weekend, so thought I would seek advice.
The pavers are clay and before when I used a wire brush on a small part of it, it seemed to leave grey streaks in the bricks. I'd rather not ruin them, so seeking advice.
My plan is to get rid of the weeds growing around it, apply weed killer of some sort, then some sealer and some paving sand.
So direct questions, best way of getting rid of the weeds in the first place? I looked at burn tools but slightly worried as there are bushes to the right of the driveway, don't want to start some sort of underground fire. I don't see any paving brushes that aren't metal, or is there a safe metal to use on clay?
Second, best sort of weed killer? I've been recommended 5l of vinegar and 200g of salt. Happy to do that, but will my drive way stink of vinegar? All that into a 10l sprayer.
The sealer I was recommended was Floorseal block paving enhancer, but I need to wait 2 weeks after setting down the weed killer. Is that basically right? Am I OK to apply the paving sand between that time? Or what order should that go in?
Sorry, first time having to do this bit of a project.
