Anyone living solo single and jus content but feel this constant guilt and pull to spend time.with your parents?
Im a later bloomer i was hoping i would have a life with husband kids a house...lifr jus decided to give me some sour lemons so im trying ti make the most of it. I feel this constant stress to ensure work is paying my bills living in an expensive city...im almost 40 and left home pretty late in life bc well i hate to admit it i thought i would move out with the guy i dated for years...he ended up ghosting.
Point is since ive moved ive never truly settled down i moved into a big city and my parents live about a 25 min drive but i find i am always at my parents....anytime im free instead of building a community or exploring my great city building connectio s or even focusing on side projects i just pack a lil bag and head home.
My parents had some relatives.over so i stayed the night...it turned into 3 nights becauee there were get togethers in the evening. I feel like being single people expect you to be uncomfortable in life like...dont leave just sleep on the kids bed we want to see you its been so long...and here i am sitting in my nephews kid bed trying to sleep wanting to jus pick up abd leave but im also really tired from a long day at work.
Tldr: i moved.out i feel like i cant sit with myself i dont socialize i just work gym sleep and do a few lil hobbies here and there but fele this guilt to be at home with my elderly but healthy ish parents mid 70s. Extended fam is visiting and when i try to leave they convince.me to stay over its late dont drive.now
I feel like im jus disrespecting myself at this point bc i wanna enjoy spending time with everyone but i also want everyone to f off. 2 extremes.
