Please help!! I am so worried for my dog, he has a bunch of these red patches mostly found on his groin/stomach that he is constantly licking (hence the wet fur). There are some just above his some of his paws too, but I can’t get it to show up on picture. The red patch I’m holding in the last pic has a bump. He got these red patches last month but it went away after a bath, hot spot cream, and an itch relief spray. The patches are back but his next appointment is tomorrow and we are shaving him down to give him a chance to regrow a whole new coat. He is an almost 7 year old sheep dog poodle mix and he is the most energetic rambunctious dog ever. There has not been any change in his energy levels, he is just always licking his groin and seems to be bothered by the itchiness. He’s been eating Taste of the Wild Ancient Stream with Smoke Flavored Salmon kibble for 5 years now, and we started implementing fish oil into his kibble just last month when we first noticed these spots. We are located in northern Virginia, and his vet appointment is next week. I just don’t want him uncomfortable and it’s really concerning me because he cant tell me what’s wrong someone please help is this allergies? Fleas?

What are these red patches on my dogs groin??
