BG:EE Multiplayer

BGEE

I tried to play multiplayer with a friend today, they are on an Android tablet and I am on a PC on Steam, but as I understand it BG:EE had crossplay. We don't seem to be having any luck connecting. My friend says it lists their version as v2.7.3.2 and mine is listed as v2.7.3.0, which I could see causing problems potentially, but Steam doesn't have any updates. Anyone know anything about this?
