Adventure Mode Gold Bug

When I play any of the adventures the gold listed at the top is from the main game and not the adventure. Spending gold within the adventure does not decrease the value and I cannot see any way to see the actual gold value for each adventure.

Does anyone know a way to fix this? I’m playing the Switch version.
