Is cleaning with a shower head optimal?

I do not have a bidet. I do not like using just toilet paper at all while having haemorrhoids. It’s really hard to clean yourself fully and the more you wipe the more you irritate yourself. Usually what I do is wipe the excess off and then clean myself in the shower using the jet setting on my detachable shower head. I don’t think the pressure is too crazy in a way that it would irritate me significantly. Is this an optimal way to clean? I was wondering because I haven’t heard much other people discuss this
