Prep Question

I have my colonoscopy on Friday so prep is tomorrow (I'm in PDT) and part of the prep instructions are a bit weird to me.

 At 7 pm mix the first sachet of PICO-SALAX (pick up at pharmacy, no prescription necessary) in a glass

of cold water (5oz), stir until dissolved and drink. This may take 2-3 minutes and the mixture may warm up.

Then take at least three more 8oz glasses of clear fluids over the next three hours.

THE DAY OF YOUR COLONOSCOPY:

• FOUR HOURS prior to colonoscopy, take the second sachet of PICO-SALAX in a glass of cold water

(5oz), stir until dissolved and drink.

• DRINK 3 LARGE GLASSES OF WATER IN THE HOUR AFTER TAKING THE PICO-SALAX.

This was in the email instructions. When I've been sedated in the past, they didn't want me drinking any fluids, including water, after 10pm. I'm a bit worried about drinking 30oz of liquid 3-4 hours before my procedure.
