Worth it getting a CDL?

I’m turning 18 in a little less than two years, I can go owner op and join the company my dad is in getting hired won’t be a problem. I’m in Texas, I’m wondering how the local pay will be like. I’m thinking of going dryvan, or flatbed maybe even non hazardous. I’m going to start saving for my truck now, because I’ve already graduated. Thanks guys.
