How are you guys actually keeping track of freight claims?
I have been handling freight claims, and it honestly feels more painful than it should be.
One small issue turns into a long series of emails with missing photos, notes, and signatures. Then the carrier claims something wasn't filed correctly, and everything slows down again.
What bothers me is that the problem is usually not the claim itself. It's the follow-up, the paperwork, and trying to track what has been sent and what is still missing.
I wonder how others deal with this in real life.
Do you keep a spreadsheet, use your TMS, or manage it manually? What usually causes you the most trouble?
