Walking on the beach at night? Look down for bioluminescence in the wet sand!

I was walking on the beach last night, and in some areas along the water, every footstep produced flashes of white light radiating 1-2 feet around my foot. Nothing like the blue bioluminescence I've seen before, this was white and looked like the night sky. Blew my mind. Tried to take a video and it didn't show up, but it was super noticeable in the dark.

The strongest effect was in the loose wet sand (probably around the high tide mark, during low tide). It wasn't as strong in the more compacted wet sand closer to the water. Enjoy :)
