Before I place an order, how is Dishie yarn in terms of softness?
I primarily use cotton yarn for most things I make other than amigurumi. I am on the hunt for a super soft cotton yarn to replace Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton because I would prefer not shopping there, however I have not found a suitable replacement and wanted to get input before I placed an order from a website like KnitPicks.
I know mercerized cotton is softer than the rough cotton yarns like Sugar and Cream/Peaches and Cream, but I have used mercerized yarns like Caron All Day Cotton and Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton and they’re still nowhere near as soft as ILTC. I’ve also tried Hobbii Friends and Rainbow which are probably the closest I’ve found, but sadly they’ve joined the list of problematic companies with their use of AI.
In terms of physical stores, I only have access to Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, and Walmart. I have zero local/small business yarn stores anywhere near me. I’m totally willing to order online from a reputable company with good values, but with tariffs and shipping I just want to make sure I’m picking the right stuff since I can’t feel it first!
All that to say: how soft is Dishie on a scale of I Love This Cotton to Lily Sugar and Cream? Or are there other brands of cotton yarn that are super soft?
Thank you, friends! ❤️
