Terror of Demogorgon introduces five new Demon Lords to DDO, each ruling their own twisted corner of the Abyss. Here's what you need to know
You're tasked with completing a desperate ritual to banish these Demon Lords before their chaos and madness spread further. Here's who you'll be facing down in Terror of Demogorgon.
Baphomet
The Horned King and Prince of Beasts believes civilization is weakness and savagery is strength. He rules minotaurs and other worshippers who want a world with no rules, where everyone's most savage desires play out. Followers are known for complex knot emblems and maze-like dwellings, and long-term devotion shows physically: bloodshot eyes, coarse hair, sometimes actual horns.
Baphomet himself is a 20-foot, black-furred creature with six horns and burning red eyes, wielding a glaive called Heartcleaver. His home, the Lyktion (The Endless Maze), is a labyrinthine Abyssal palace warped by his own magic over time.
Graz'zt
If you've run Mines of Tethyamar, you've already met the Dark Prince, he was behind the Jewels of Ardor in "Desire in the Dark." The Demon Prince of Pleasure is patron to succubi and incubi, and he's as known for blackmail and manipulation as outright violence. He can transform at will, and his greatsword Angdrelve (the Wave of Sorrow) drips acid on command. He rules from the Argent Palace in the city of Zelatar.
Yeenoghu
The Beast of Butchery is a 14-foot, battle-scarred gnoll who roams the Material Plane trailed by packs of hyenas. Eat from one of his kills and you risk becoming a gnoll yourself. He has no patience for parlay, just his triple-headed flail Butcher or bare claws. He's also a longtime rival of Baphomet, the two attack each other's followers on sight. Home turf: the Death Dells, barren hunting grounds in the Abyss.
Zuggtmoy
You may remember the Demon Queen of Fungi from Temple of Elemental Evil's final encounter, where she slips away rather than face defeat. She wants to infect everything with spores and turn victims into mindless servants. She can take humanoid form, but her true look is skeletal, a mockery of mortal fragility. Most of her "followers" are enslaved, not devoted. Her lair, Shedaklah, is built from some of the largest mushrooms in existence, constantly reshaped by fungal growth.
Demogorgon
Demogorgon is chaos, destruction, and madness given form, and he wants to drag everything good into the Abyss. His two heads rarely agree even while scheming together, both equally insane, which is where his cultists get their Y-shaped sigil. Every follower goes mad eventually. He's saurian below the waist with clawed, webbed feet, and tentacles sprout from his ape-like shoulders. His gaze alone brings madness and confusion. Home is the Abysm, twin serpent-towers over an underground lake, ringed by miles of venomous wildlife.
