Currently Own Savor and BCE / Should I acquire CSP for SUB or VX?
I’m 19 and just passed my first year of credit history with my Savor and BCE cards. I analyzed my spend with SmartSpend and it calculated out of the $14,676 I spent this past year my top categories were 29% for travel, 24% shopping, 21% entertainment, and 17% on food and dining. For this reason, I wanna look into getting my first travel card as I know it would match my lifestyle and spending habits. So far, I have really maximized my cash back with the Savor and only really use my BCE for gas or online retail purchases. Neither of the Amex cards really interest me because of the AF, and the VX seems to make the most sense for me because of its paired use with the Savor and more reasonable AF. However, I do know the CSP has a great SUB right now and wanted to see if it would make sense for me to enter the Chase ecosystem now and get the VX later on. I currently have a 750+ credit score and am a little worried about approval with Chase since I have no banking history with them of my own, but I have been an authorized user on my dad’s Chase cards for years which I still use today to pay big expenses. Overall, my main concern is splitting my spend between ecosystems since I can’t benefit from converting my Savor cash back into miles until I get the VX regardless.
