Are Filipinos just too clingy?

Problem/Goal: I just want to an answer from people who is in a relationship with foreigner. As a Filipina, are we just that type of person who is clingy? Or does your foreigner partner keep you updated everyday on what they do?

Context: I have a foreigner boyfriend and we’ve been together for 3 months now. We got label when we met in Thailand last April. but we’ve been talking to each other for half a year before we become officially together.

We are both busy. He works during the day and I am a night shift girly. We are not that type of couple who call each other everyday. We only do that mostly during weekends, during our day offs. We don’t text or chat too much. We just leave a message and let the other one reply after so many hours. It’s not that I don’t like to talk to him all the time. I really want to, but he is a type of person who doesn’t like to do a lot of chatting because he is busy at work and at home.

He’s living with his aunt ever since he left his house because he had a fight with his parents. He told me that when he gets home, he helps his aunt with household chores to show that he has respect with them because they adopt him.

I know that he doesn’t have anyone else and I trust him.

It’s just that sometimes, I ask myself: is really just us Filipino that is too clingy in a relationship? Because I want to be updated all the time but he’s not up for it.

Can you tell me if I’m just invalidating my feelings and thoughts?
