Coming out of the closet was the singular worst decision of my life. Every summer gets exponentially harder to survive.
To get off the top, yes I'm trans - HRT has erased my gender dysphoria.
But I've been obviously queer my whole life, making me the black sheep in a tradcath family. I was sent to a fundie Catholic school where I was bullied relentlessly by kids and teachers, including getting SAd by a teacher at 16.
When I came out in my late 20s, it cost me my entire friend group, and it forced me into estrangement with my family. Furthermore, I was beaten pretty bad so I'm in pain 24/7.
I've been called more slurs than anyone should ever hear. I get stares the few times I leave my tiny apartment.
I started trying to rebuild but COVID made it impossible. I'm now unemployable, in pain, incredibly poor, the list goes on. All because I'm trans. HRT has made me incredibly sensitive to the heat, so summers are 3 months of barely being able to do anything.
I'm either going to get MAID or I'm going to do something right wingers will use against other trans people for a long time.
(And if you're wondering, not a single person has ever been held accountable for the things done to me, and they never will.)
I'd vent to my wife but there's nothing she can do. If you suggest therapy you will be blocked immediately without a response.
