Planning a couple's trip to Coorg this August. Need recommendations for safe stays, buses, and local travel!

Hi guys!

My girlfriend and I are looking to take a weekend trip from Bangalore to Coorg. I want to make sure the trip is as safe and comfortable for her as possible, so I'm hoping to get some local insights on a few things:

* **Weather:** Are the first two weeks of August a good time to visit, or will the rain play spoilsport?
* **Getting there & around:** Which overnight buses are the most reliable? Once we reach there in the morning, what’s the best way to get around? Do Uber/Rapido work, or should we plan for local autos/cabs?
* **Stays:** Do you have any recommendations for safe, couple-friendly places to stay?
* **General Safety:** Any overall advice on keeping the trip smooth and safe for a couple?
