Hydrangea Panic

Hello, just sold my house and I have one week to dig up a hydrangea that holds extreme sentimental value. It was planted in the ground about 2.5 years ago after already fully bloomed in a pot. I am renting now and if I can keep this now very large beauty with me I would so appreciate any advice for apartment living with a massive hydrangea. I have a large front and back porch. I could probably put it in the ground somewhere around me without penalty. I think.
