Hey all,

I need advice and not sure if this is the right spot to do it.

\*Disclaimer, i am a cleaning noob and have no idea what I am doing. Any advice would be helpful.

Essentially I recently purchased a car interstate and drove it back home. After a couple days it started to stink and i realised there was vomit under on the seats… yay… I went through all the common processes to try clean it and took it to get steam cleaned but couldn’t remove the issue.

I later cut out the carpet and found out that underneath the vomit has infected some layer in my car which sits over the body of the car. Pulling back the layer i can see it has seeped through. I have tried my best to clean it but i am very weary of this layer as this is close to where the fuel tank is and want to be careful.

The smell odour coming from the last photo is the smell from the inside body panel after a couple hours of scrubbing. And i still have to keep going. I wonder if there’s a better way to treat this or a professional that will be able to deal with this way better than me. I cut out the carpet and scrubbed as much as i can but it still persists. The odour i feel might be a mix of the vomit and the car coating layer…

Any thoughts please! I am desperate
